The Keith/Menck Residence in Seattle |
Our family lives in Seattle, Washington. Seattle is a beautiful city - surrounded by water and mountains. However, if we want to get away from the city we hop into the car and drive 4 hours to Twisp in Eastern Washington. There we have a second home. We call it Wiesental. We are there as often as we can. Gair is working in Sales at Ampac Flexibles (formerly Mohawk Northern Plastic) in Auburn near Seattle. He has been with the company for 30 years. In his spare time Gair likes to read, to putter around our land at Wiesental, play pingpong and foosball, and to meditate. He also enjoys getting together with his friends - and taking his wife out to dinner. Hannchen has been retired from her job at Starbucks Coffee International as of February 2008. Her hobby is photography. She loves taking photos of Sophia and nature photography at Wiesental. As often as time permits Hannchen takes brisk walks, the longer the walks the better. Hiking in the Methow Valley is her passion. Anya owns "Fremont Coffee" - a fun and trendy coffee shop located in the Fremont district in Seattle. Her father owns the building and has been helping her to get the business established. Anya loves the coffee shop. She also enjoys shopping and seeing friends. Greg became a member of our family when Anya got married to him on October 9, 2004. Greg is a wonderful person and we are very happy to have him as a son-in-law. He is from the Tri City area in Eastern Washington and is working at Expedia.com in Seattle. Among other things Greg enjoys rock climbing and hiking. Sophia is our delightful 11 year old who is nice, quick minded and a budding songwriter. She is in 5th grade at the Pathfinder Seattle Public school. She has been playing basket ball in the winter, and she enjoys horse back riding and rock climbing in the summer. Soon she will take drama lessons. She loves getting together with friends and seeing movies. Her passion are animals! We have two cats named Bubbles and Tux. Bubbles is small and cute cat who always is happy to see you. Tux is a real gentleman. Our other cats, Kunti and Hudson, are now in kitty cat heaven. To view photos of the family check out the "What's New" page.
